The Sea Hag is a creature that lives in a lake. To summon her, a person must ring a special bell. The Sea Hag once claims that she too was beautiful once, just like her bell. Fifty years ago before the third book, she was offered the corpse of the Teleporter, Trope Kessel, by Batu.
Biography
The Faceless Ones
Skulduggery and Valkyrie are after information about the murder of teleporters and needing to talk to a corpse whos murder relates. They talk to Kessel and promise to take him back to land in exchange.
The Sea Hag guards the lake and refuses to let them. The Sea Hag tries to drown Valkyrie, but Skulduggery saves her and they plan to bury the corpse in a proper grave.
The Sea Hag
The Diablerie later recruits the Sea Hag to help them at Liffey Bridge. The Hag manages to capture Fletcher Renn for them. She is not mentioned for the rest of the book afterward.
Bedlam
The Sea hag somehow made her way to the ocean. She appears, taking Valkyrie from the cursed pirate ship she was on and into the sea. Valkyrie breaks free and uses her powers to get away but heads deeper into the water instead of the surface by mixing up her directions. She is almost out of breath when she is saved by Una, a sea maiden, who helps her to The Underwater Laboratory.
She later chokes Una for attempting to kill the Sea Hag, thinking that Una's the bad one because she's pretty and the Sea Hags the good one because she's ugly, the old 'The pretty girl's the bully and the ugly one's the bullied'. Una enraged that Valkyrie stopped her from ending the hags life retreats with the other Maidens of the Sea.
Turns out, the reason why the Maidens of the Sea wanted to kill the Sea Hag because she kept eating their babies, their eggs. The Hag thanks Valkyrie for saving her life and gives her a bell she can use to call for her assistance and leaves Valkyrie to feel horrible.
