Wiki Mucking Up - Not My Fault!
Some of you may have noticed when browsing the wiki a rather annoying problem keeps popping up. Every now and then, you'll get this message randomly (seemingly especially when editting):
It's happening all over Wikia, and thus, isn't the fault of any new .JS or .CSS in case you were wondering about pelting stones at me. Unless my coding somehow managed to muck up all of Wikia.
The closest thing I could find to somewhere discussing it was this blog.
Changes to CSS and JS
I've made some changes to the and JS this wiki runs on, so there will be some differences in how this wiki works. It's probably for the best if you all clear your cache, in order for the wiki to function properly for you.
Run down of changes:
- No more image attribution. Some of you may have noticed that in some pages, thumbnailed images had a little "Added by USER" on them. I've removed it for now, though I'm thinking about restoring it. For now, I've removed it and we'll see how that works out.
- Contributions in user navigation. Some of you may have found it annoying to have to type out Special:Contributions/USER to get contributions for yourself. Well, no more! Clicking on your username in the corner will now give a link to your contributions…
Skulduggery Pleasant 6 Speculation & Discussion
I'm creating a blog post here for discussion and speculation on the unnamed "Skulduggery Pleasant 6". What do you think is going to happen in the new book? How is "Darquesse" going to come about? Are any going to be any more hints on the future of the Skulduggery-verse? Will Valkyrie become a Necromancer or an Elemental, or perhaps something else? Perhaps she turn her back on magic forever or something else similarly cliché? What's up with this whole "Jitter Girls" stuff? And of course, what ever happened to Scapegrace and Thrasher? They were awesome.
Personally, I believe someone is going to die. Horrifically. In graphic detail. Twice.
New Wikia Look
So, Wikia is making a new style. This is either good, or really really really bad. Only time will tell.
However, they're removing the choice to use Monaco, so I have been forced to design a new look. It was actually quite easy, but I still had to do something. If you would like to see the new look, then go to Preferences > Skin > New Wikia Look > Save and there you are. It isn't without fault, but its better than nothing. There's Skulduggery, peering at you from the side, with glimpsing his evil smile, and... that's about it.
